Yesterday I said to my roommate, "I wonder how many people will come in concerned that they have swine flu."
(Answer: about 7 -- three legitimately because they know someone who recently traveled to SF, although they did not present with fever.)
Later, the charge nurse and I briefly discussed that we believe when Washington State has its first confirmed case, we will see a dramatic rise in mass panic cases coming through our ER.
