Creighton Yet Again

I called Creighton University today, since they implied they might make a decision two weeks ago.

"No decision yet."

Alas. I suppose I'll have to wait yet some more.

This past week at the hospital:
  • new diagnosis of untyped leukemia in a 3-year old, who came in pale, grey tinted skin, and kool-aid blood (that color and that watery) due to no blood cells; we knew she had leukemia from the minute she walked in
  • 5-month old vomiting blood, due to cirrhosis of the liver (cause uncertain, probably congenital)
  • the cutest baby i've seen in weeks, in for evaluation of a possible closed head injury, totally adorable!
  • too many overweight/obese kids
At the doctor's:
  • Two patients schedule for the afternoon easily turns into four.
  • One patient was in for her annual evaluation, in between moving for jobs, which highlights the incapability of some people, due to external factors, to establish a long-term relationship with a primary care practitioner.
  • Your patients may suddenly start crying out of nowhere, despite having a great disposition the remainder of the appointment.
